One of the nicest gardens I've ever seen was a sea of dahlias in a public park in Saint John, New Brunswick. I would love to have a pic of that garden! So, remembering that garden, I bought a little clump of dahlia bulbs early in the spring and I finally have a bloom .... and it's small and upside down! There are several more buds and only a few weeks of frost-free weather. Fingers crossed for more flowers before I have to dig the bulbs out to store for next year.
Beautiful shot and that dahlia looks like it will be a stunner when it is fully opened. Hope you will have time to enjoy these flowers. Mine have continued flowers for quite some time; now they are almost completely withered.
