"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." ~e.e. cummings
This is my baby boy in a man's body. He's grown up to be a person his mama is so proud of. We've spent this last week together in Washington DC and have had a great time, full of laughter and memories. This photo was taken at the Hirshhorn Art Museum. And believe it or not, this is not a B&W photo. Everything is just either black, or white.
Really like the way you composed this shot and wasn't your son dressed for the b&w occasion.

Really like the minimalist composition of this shot.

nicely lit and composed. loved your narrative also. my boys are all in their twenties now (the oldest will be thirty next year ...) and it really struck a chord with me :)

What a gorgeous non-B/W photo. You should frame this lovely memory of your time with your son. I can see it in a thin black frame with a white mat. Beautiful and a fav!

He really stands out in the sparse space. Lovely light.

Know this feeling...my two “boys” are 36 and 32. This is a wonderful portrait, beautifully composed.
