"The mountains are calling and I must go." ~John Muir

My photo yesterday were the mountains to the east of us. These are the mountains to the south. There are plateaus to the north and west. This photo shows the San Juans of Colorado. I love these mountains and never tire of this view. We should have more snow than we do. It's been a very mild winter thus far.
What a gorgeous vista! It is so FLAT in Toronto and surrounding areas. I long to see mountains in real life someday! Just imagine, having this view full time!
do you photograph this every day or most days? this would be a good study of the seasons and the weather. my apartment faces south with a little view of the lake but of course there are a lot of buildings. but the sunrise and cloud plays are just tremendous to watch and photograph. i think i must have a gazillion photos that i would never post in my albums but it is nice to take note of.
does the ice/snow in the far mountains disappear during summer? i'd love to see this when all is green and pretty. aces!
@summerfield Although I can see this range from where I live, this photo was taken at a spot about 25 minutes away. I've taken many photos from many different locations because I am in awe of them. The snow stays most of the year, finally vanishing late summer - BUT, there's not as much snow as there usually is so we'll have to see. We're still hoping for some good snow storms. I will definitely take another shot from this location sometime in the Summer. Fall is my favorite.
