Thank you Violeta. I like to think this as an abstract photo. It´s actually my bedroom lamp photografed from below, but I think it creates nice abstract form nevertheless.
The shape is really cool and I like the centered composition with square crop. This is just my personal preference, but I love to make sure everything is *perfect* in this type of shots, ie. are you shooting exactly from below the center of the lamp and the camera is pointing directly upwards. That kind of nitpicking leads to total symmetry, which is very pleasing to some weirdos *cough cough* :) And when you have total symmetry, then it's fun to find a way to break it somehow. If you like to go abstract, you could try adding some contrast --> the background will be all black and the shape is emphasized.
@janim Than you so much Jani, yes I see your point with that perfection thing, I have to re-photograph this with that in mind and practice and practice. I find the lack of symmetry very distracting too, so I don´t think it makes you a weirdo. I wish I´d have made this b&w shot!
