Another great shot! You get a real feeling for the brightness of the sun and the breaking up of that ice! The B&W brings out the texture and the contrast so although you long for blue skies, B&W is often the best way to portray them.
I ALMOST did that with the photo of me sitting by the lake, it looked so cool in B&W and my husband was like "Seriously?! We finally get a nice blue sky and you are making it B&W?!" haha So I caved and kept it in color. Nice photo!
@breigh Thank you Breigh, sometimes the b&w just brings something more to the pic so colors must be go but I felt pain doing this, such a crime when one finally has blue sky to shoot at.
