Eric and I exchanged pics for editing and he gave me one of his street shots to work on. I didn´t want to turn it into b&w cos that´s what Eric usually does to his street shots and he does it so well, instead I wanted to give it this warm and soft look, kind of my vision of Africa. I actually prefer the original version and I wouldn´t want to change it in any way. My take on that pic is just different but in no way better. I can certainly see you and your style in this photo, Suse...great work. It is wonderful and refreshing to see my picture through other eyes...makes me realize that I do have a style of my own, which I wasn't really aware of, but also that there are other great and innovating possibilities as well. I really love how you have given this picture your own unique feel!
@susale ...you nervous about this? No way...you've done great. And you're quite right, I would have gone B&W...in fact, I have processed this picture to B&W before I have even sent it to you. I had severe difficulty in getting the man to stand out, which is why I gave someone else a shot at the picture as well! You have nicely sidestepped that difficulty by making it "an African street scene"! I did intend posting my version in a couple of days, but I am hesitant after your post... But perhaps I should still post it, certainly not as competition, but just to emphasise how different people can interpret the same scene...what do you think?
@ericdibosco Thank you Eric, for all. I´m pleased that you approved this! Oh and about the other pic, please go ahead, I´d be very interested to see it. I don´t feel this is a competition, your processing skills exceeds mine, so I could never compete with you on that level anyway. I see this more like a learning experiment and I agree with you, it´s very interesting to see what others can make your pics to be, makes you indeed see other options youself too. I´m happy you opened the route you took with my pic, that was very educational and I will be thinking my future processings very differently now. I´m also pleased you realised you have your own style (cos you do), it´s something that it´s not so easy to notice yourself, I never thought as having my own style but I too have apparently been developing style of processing. For me it´s the easy way so my goal is to get out of it and find something else, don´t know what it is yet but I´ll know when I get there. Thank you for playing with me, it was fun :)
Wow fantastic shot. Very old school looking. The composition is lovely (well done Eric) and you've added a lovely interpretation. What a nice idea to swap photos!!!
Fabulous team! @eridibosco365
