My get pushed challenge this week by @mathilde22cat was to explore candid....very lame candid I know, but what a huge step for me cos photographing strange people is not easy for me. Also I wanted to do something bit different from my usual stuff so I purposely overexposed the shot.
Very cool Suse...I like the light... I think it is similar to what I posted..just the processing is different....most people don't care...or don't know. :). I do it with my telephoto :). ..I would love to see more street shots! Great pic and to your challenge!
Right on, Suse! I totally know what you mean about the shyness. Kudos for your bravery. :) And it is cool to see you exploring this new processing look with the more contrasty shadows and lines. Look forward to seeing how your new place inspires you! Thanks for being my get-pushed partner. That was a great week.
@mathilde22cat Thank you Karyn, it was fun and I´m really happy you found your challenge inspirational. I will be exploring this theme a bit further later on.
I like the high key effect and it's a great composition. Such a peaceful scene too. I think, to start with, pretty much everyone feels uncomfortable about taking photos of people they don't know.
Great shot Suse! I like that you also thought about the composition (the framing and the diagonal leading line) even so that the whole process of taking a photo of a stranger is intimidating you. I think you did really well. Haven't tried that myself yet. There are not so many people living above the Arctic Circle.... Haha...
This is good work Suse, particularly as it's a difficult area for you. I'm getting increasingly into street photography, finding that big cities are the best place to do it if you're a newbie, or going to places full of families so no one knows which family you are attached to!
