Get-pushed-93

My get pushed challenge this week by @mathilde22cat was to explore candid....very lame candid I know, but what a huge step for me cos photographing strange people is not easy for me. Also I wanted to do something bit different from my usual stuff so I purposely overexposed the shot.

Very cool Suse...I like the light... I think it is similar to what I posted..just the processing is different....most people don't care...or don't know. :). I do it with my telephoto :). ..I would love to see more street shots! Great pic and to your challenge!

A fave, because you dare to go out of your comfort zone! I like the framing with the birches.

Right on, Suse! I totally know what you mean about the shyness. Kudos for your bravery. :) And it is cool to see you exploring this new processing look with the more contrasty shadows and lines. Look forward to seeing how your new place inspires you! Thanks for being my get-pushed partner. That was a great week.

I know what you mean about photographing strangers - I'm the same! Cool capture.
May 5th, 2014
Well done, not easy to go out of your comfort zone.

Great to meet your challenge.

Gorgeous view and very nicely captured. Did he catch any fish?
May 5th, 2014
@sangwann Thank you Dione :) I actually do not know, I left quickly after this shot :)

I like the high key effect and it's a great composition. Such a peaceful scene too. I think, to start with, pretty much everyone feels uncomfortable about taking photos of people they don't know.
May 5th, 2014
Great shot Suse! I like that you also thought about the composition (the framing and the diagonal leading line) even so that the whole process of taking a photo of a stranger is intimidating you. I think you did really well. Haven't tried that myself yet. There are not so many people living above the Arctic Circle.... Haha...

This is good work Suse, particularly as it's a difficult area for you. I'm getting increasingly into street photography, finding that big cities are the best place to do it if you're a newbie, or going to places full of families so no one knows which family you are attached to!
May 5th, 2014
Great start to candid: first keep your distance, then get more bold and sneaky!
May 5th, 2014
Nice one, then maybe next time you'll get a little closer :)
May 5th, 2014
I like the high-key spring mood of the shot and the framing with the birches appeals to me.
May 5th, 2014
Lame? I think this is amazing! A very impressive candid capture, love it! x
May 5th, 2014
simple but effective shot. composed well.
May 5th, 2014
Did he clock you Suse? Nice framing.
May 5th, 2014
Great image :)

@happysnap Hah, I think I was too quick for him even to notice me, Thank you Linda for your comments!
May 5th, 2014
@susale thanks my friend, I'm certainly getting closer just sorting a few issues out with my laptop :-)
May 5th, 2014
Nice candid....love your comp on it and the processing.
May 7th, 2014
It looks very sunny! Good shot- it's not easy catching a shot of people you don't know.
