Watching the life go by

I don´t know which is more worrying, the fact that I have once again dead flowers at my home or the fact that I find human like mental states in them; this sad little faded rose looked to me like it would be looking outside the window dreaming to be in the sun with all the other flowers. Yeah, I should maybe get out more, lol.
really lovely

Love you can see thru the petals! Pretty

It does look very wistful, love how you get so much emotion intno your flowers.
I wouldn't worry - afer all, everyone thinks that pansies have faces and various people in Greek myths got turned into plants and flowers by the gods.

Lovely capture

Beautiful tones!

@dulciknit Thank you Alison, that is so true, I really don´t need to worry at all then. Love that part of the Greek mythology!

Just lovely, so soft and dreamy. Instant fav!
May 19th, 2014
This is so beautiful. The processing is spot on.
May 19th, 2014
Hope you feel better :-) Great processing.

This is so totally lovely. I find the worry that I won't throw out a dead flower until I've sucked every view out of it. The softness here is fabulous

Totally favulous--:)

A gorgeous shot, you have a sensitive soul and it shows in your photographs and is what makes you such a great photographer.
May 20th, 2014
What a neat photo and thoughtful analysis.
May 20th, 2014
Love the light and pov. I give human attributes to flowers all the time, glad I'm not the only one! I think they do symbolize some human feelings for us.
May 20th, 2014
It's remembering when it was once a part of a rose bush and missing all its friends. Lovely shot- the soft lighting makes it quite nostalgic.
May 20th, 2014
I think the emotions you feel... translate into the images. No need to get out more... unless of course you want to ;) Beautiful image...
May 20th, 2014
@sansjuan Aww thank you my friend, that is simply a wonderful thing to say. And yes I am very sensitive person, that is right.
May 20th, 2014
@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie, and yes I feel that way too, about flowers. I do sometimes project my inner thoughts and emotions in to inanimate objects as well flowers, and I think what you said about flowers is very true.
May 20th, 2014
Very nice, soft and sensitive picture...the type that you excel in!
May 20th, 2014
Conveys your emotions for sure.... varmaan terapeuttistakin tällainen kuvaaminen
May 20th, 2014
love your edit to create emotions, the split toning is amazing, it never seems to work for me.
May 20th, 2014
Beautiful shot!
May 20th, 2014
Awesome capture and beauty.
May 20th, 2014
I agree, it looks as if it would rather be outside.
May 20th, 2014
Such a soft and beautiful capture! Very impressive and beautiful :)

Hello! I'm your get-pushed-96 partner, and my challenge for you is to take a photo or photos that is inspired by the key point or event in a fairy tale or folk tale. If you could tell us the name and a brief description of the story that inspires the shot, that would be great too. :-) Have fun!
May 20th, 2014
I really love this shot. You aren't the only one who sees "expressions" in the drying and dying flowers' positions. I had a daisy in a bouquet last year that just totally radiated depression right before the petals started falling off...
May 20th, 2014
A beautiful capture :)
May 20th, 2014
This is so beautiful! I think you just have a creative mind. I never give huge amount of thoughts to flowers but attribute thoughts to a lot of dead objects :-)
May 20th, 2014
It is a lovely shot and with your story it becomes really a person.
May 20th, 2014
Lovely vintage feel to this shot.
May 20th, 2014
Agree with Sean it has a real vintage feel and delicacy

What I appreciated most in this post, is your sentiment towards the dying rose. It's leaves reaching toward the sunlight that offers life. It's being freed from the struggle and the strife. There will be another to take its place. Another rose to touch your face :)

@adamj Wow that's so poetic, simply love your words! Are you going for my heart with these kind of comments Adam;) Seriously I have always known you are a poetic soul and I have always appreciated your thoughtful comments very much.
