As one year ends and another one begins, it´s time to look back for the past year one last time before we close that book for good. It has been quite a year for me; full of big changes. I broke my heart this year but I also made new friends and found new zest for life as I moved in to another city.
I however will leave behind me much more than this. I leave behind something safe and known and leap to unknown as I close my work computer for the very last time today. On Friday I´ll be opening a new computer in a new office.
Yeah, I´m still pretty stunned of how that happened. I was actually pretty happy about my current work place and was not looking for anything new. It was not a dream job and I was way too educated for it but I was happy with all the other things; loved my co-workers (even though I didn´t really get to see them except maybe at lunch hours), got along with the boss greatly, had a lot of freedom to do things on my own way and keep my vacation days as I wished. More importantly I had just started to further educate myself and my current work place was pretty ideal place to do that. So why am I now leaving you may wonder? Well long story short, I got a job offer that I thought I couldn't pass even though I´m really sad to leave my old work. So if the opportunity knocks your door, you got to open the door and let it in. So into the new adventures along with the New Year we go.

what a year! sounds like you have made the right decision. i am going through similar things at the moment. sometimes "comfortable" is not the right option.
