Red Admiral by susiemc

Red Admiral

It hasn't been a good year for butterflies. The sun didn't shine when the buddleia and these yellow daisies, both of which attract huge numbers of butterflies, were in full bloom. Here we have a late red admiral on one of the few remaining yellow daisies in the warm afternoon sunshine.
What a shot! Brilliant.

I haven't seen many butterflies at all this year, this is a rather nice shot, same flower as the bee?

@claireuk Thank you Claire. It's not the exact same flower but it's in the same clump. I don't know what they're called but they're fantastic for attracting butterflies and bees, just as good as buddleia.
