I walked up the hill past the house again today and through the gate into the grounds of a house up there. We know the owners well but it's a holiday home and I knew there was no-one there today so I went to look at the pond. I discovered some amazing water lilies. This is one of the flowers.
Wonderful water-lily shot Sue -- well worth trespassing !! lol !! My waterlily in the pond had really taken over so last year I was rather drastic in cutting it up and only kept one tiny root section and repottes -- so this year as yet I have only a couple of leaves appearing !! -- my motto is "Kill or cure !!"
@thresheg@happypat@beryl Thank you for your nice comments. The interesting thing about this particular water lily is that when the previous owners constructed this pond Chris split the lily in our pond and gave them half and this is it. It's done much better than the bit that was left in our pond.
