Nasturtiums

It was a wet miserable day today so I decided to post these cheerful bright orange nasturtiums that I captured in the garden at the weekend.
Chris just scattered some seed on a steep bank where nothing much will grow but these lovely nasturtiums seem to like it there.
Such a vibrant colour too!

They cheer you up Sue, not often seen nowadays but in my day nasturtiums were so common in everyone's garden, I can almost smell that distinctive smell now.

@happypat You're right Pat, they're not often seen these days. They grow and flower well in soil that's completely lacking in nutrients. I think we've got quite a lot of that!

Fab colour - nasturtiums are great to filling a space where little else will grow.
