Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal by susiemc

Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal

I met a friend in Crickhowell today, a pretty little town in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is beside both the River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal. After eating a wonderful pub lunch we walked for quite a long way along the canal towpath. It was a very grey day so not good for photos.
A beautiful peaceful view and I am sure a delightful walk !

Ooh snap Sue! Lots of these boats on the canal & don't they look interesting? Everyone different!,

It's still a delightful picture Sue. Grey skies haven't really made much of a difference here.

There is something about boats. Not sure what it is but we all love them.

I saw a show on TV a few years back about bardging through the English country side. Sounded like a wonderful idea and this shot just reminded me of that. One of those things I'd love to do but not sure I have enough years left in this life to get it done. Just one reason I prefer to believe in reincarnation; so much world, so little time.

A fascinating shot. We had a lovely barge holiday with friends on the Leeds Liverpool Canal about 10 years ago.
