Gorse at Llyn Brianne

This gorse provides a welcome splash of colour in a remote area where nothing else is growing yet.
Great shot. I remember many years ago going on a bird watching trip to Minsmere where there were gorse bushes galore. Our leader rubbed some of the flowers between his thumb and finger. He said the smell was like coconut and it was.

@gijsje Thank you bep. Gorse always seems sunny even on a dull day.

@merrelyn Thank you Merrelyn. Gorse can flower all year round but mostly it flowers in the spring. I love it because it grows on otherwise barren hillsides where nothing else will grow.

@susie1205 Me too Susie. It's such a bright sunny colour.

@oldjosh Thank you Margaret.
