When we visited Niki at the weekend we brought 18 fish, 2 newts, some frogspawn and some plants from her pond. Sadly they are going to fill in their pond which is a real shame. Garden ponds are so important to aquatic wildlife because natural wetlands are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Anyway we've rescued as much as we can and given everything a good home. We're delighted to have some fish and they seem very happy. They all swim around together which I think is quite sweet.
You are saviers! Thank goodness for you re homing these fish....perfect for your pond so a good result all round! Garden ponds aren’t suitable for everyone’s lifestyle!
oh no, I was like oh lovely you got that stuff, then oh no because a pond is going ... glad you could at least bring these. what kind of fish are they natives?
Well done for saving these fish, ect. I had three goldfish in a small pond I had but they all died. No more for me because I used to have to clean the pond and the water at least once a week because a fountain I have very often got stuck because I couldn't use hygene or similar to keep the water clean.
