We Have Fish!! by susiemc

We Have Fish!!

When we visited Niki at the weekend we brought 18 fish, 2 newts, some frogspawn and some plants from her pond. Sadly they are going to fill in their pond which is a real shame. Garden ponds are so important to aquatic wildlife because natural wetlands are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Anyway we've rescued as much as we can and given everything a good home. We're delighted to have some fish and they seem very happy. They all swim around together which I think is quite sweet.
I've just had fish Sue, but mine was with chips. I always have a Fishy Friday which is sometimes followed by Sicky Saturday.

How nice that you have been able to re-home them all. It will be interesting watching the frog spawn developing.

I agree and wish we had room for a pond. But we have a fountain and a wet area.Glad you could give some a home.

You’ll both be in your element watching the goings on in your pond. Brilliant addition to your garden.

Well done for saving these fish, ect. I had three goldfish in a small pond I had but they all died. No more for me because I used to have to clean the pond and the water at least once a week because a fountain I have very often got stuck because I couldn't use hygene or similar to keep the water clean.
