Keeping the "Jungle" at Bay

It's a constant battle at this time of year to keep the brambles and nettles on the other side of the fence but we love the fact that they're there along with the two huge oak trees, one of which you can see on the left. It's all great fror the wildlife without us having the brambles and nettles actually in our garden.
oh yes I thought immediately how much variety of wildlife that jungle over the fence nurtures - for you it's perfect that the fence holds your boundary but allows all that life to teem and spill over at times into your pond, or help feed things that use your pond.
The pond is looking lovely!

I wonder if you have Purple Hairstreak in your Oak, it looks old enough. If you do I'm very envious.
