Lincoln Cathedral ......and rooftops

We've been to Lincolnshire this weekend. We had to attend a funeral in Grantham on Thursday but then we stayed with friends in Gainsborough on Friday and Saturday. On Friday afternoon we had a bit of time to kill before our friends came home from work so we went into Lincoln and spent a bit of time in the Cathedral Quarter. It was a beautiful sunny day so I paid for a ticket to walk around the castle wall. The views from there are absolutely stunning and needless to say I took lots of photos.
Now let me see, where might you be??
It’s great up on the ramparts, as you say, you get an amazing view!

I love Lincoln Cathedral...home to the RAF. Only been once but my dad was based in Lincolnshire during the war...Bomber Command.

Justifiably one of Simon Jenkins' 3 Graces, along with Ely and Wells. Great shot, Sue.
