Yes, it's definitely as cold as it looks. After our afternoon in lincoln we went to stay with friends in Gainsborough, not far from Lincoln. The next day we wrapped up warm and went for a walk. We walked along the River Idle, then along the Chesterfield Canal and finally back to the car olong the River Trent. We did manage to find a pub along the way. It had a log fire and they served hot chocolate!
