Our Village by susiemc

Our Village

This photo was taken by someone who lives in the village, with a drone. Somewhere in the middle of all that water is the river Wye. Our house is about a quarter of the way up the left hand side of the picture, just off the picture. No one's house has been badly flooded although I do know that one of those houses down there had it's cellar flooded and the owners are having to have a new boiler, washing machine and tumble drier.

That's a lot of water, Sue. Glad no one's house has been in danger.

Gosh, Sue. What an amazing but worrying shot. Hope you’re OK.

An amazing view, hope it recedes soon, glad you are OK. I see there is still a severe flood warning on the Wye and several on the Severn. You have had it worse than we have on the Trent. As I watched the Trent rushing through Nottingham I felt blessed that we have such good flood protection measures in place, and prayed for all those who are not so fortunate
