This particular waterlily brings back happy holiday memories. We brought it back from the pond in the garden of a holiday cottage we were staying in in Dorset, 2 years ago. The pond had become very overgrown and the owners were clearing it out while we were there. Chris asked if we might have a bit of the waterlily to take home with us and the owners were very happy to let us do that. They also gave us some yellow iris. Our pond wasn't finished at the time so the plants had to sit in a bucket of water for a few weeks.They didn't seem to mind.
