This is my grandson Finley. This morning he took part in a Remembrance Day parade with his Beavers group on zoom. I think this participation and awareness is very important for children. I hope that my grandchildren will always remember that their great, great grandfather died during the Battle of the Somme in WW1.
Finley let his Daddy take this photo to send to me.
He couldn’t learn a better way about the past wars...a very smart young man indeed...a credit to his family! Scouts, Beavers, Guides etc teach so much!
I think you need to ask his Dad to stoop down a bit though when he is taking photos of his kids and hold the camera level rather than tilting it downwards because as he tilts it Finlay looks as though he has a big head and little legs.
He could always stand a bit further away too and that would reduce the distortion.
Very nice shot of him. He stands proud of his forefather. If we don't want anything like this to happen we have to remind generations of all the people killed in that and subsequent wars.
@onewing I get where you’re coming from Babs. I will mention it if I can do it tactfully. I’m just grateful to get photos, even if they’re not perfect 😂
