House Sparrow ............

.............trying to blend in. I took this yesterday when I went out to photograph the fungus. Sparrows used to be our most common bird but there has been a serious decline in numbers. Thankfully we seem to be bucking the trend. When we first came here 17 years ago there were none in the garden but now we have a few.

@chimfa There's a lot of food for them here, both natural food and the stuff we put out in the feeders so they get quite fat.
