A couple of evenings ago while we were watching TV there was suddenly a bat flying round and round at great speed in the living room. We do have bats in the attic but we don't know how this one got in the living room. Chris got his very large net that he uses for landing large fish and eventually managed to catch it. It's on the carpet here with the net on top of it and this is the best photo I could get. Bats can bite so it's not a good idea to handle them and also we didn't want to damage it. It flew off quite happily once Chris set it free outside. It was probably a pipistrelle.
So pleased you managed to capture him and set him free I haven't seen any for ages -- they were a frequent occurrence when I was a child up in Mid Wales !
Pleased you managed to catch the creature.
Have to admit though Sue because there's not many people that would admit to having 'bats in the attic' ! Haha
Fancy having a bat turn up in your living room - must have been a surprise. I used to live on a trout fishery in Devon and was fly fishing on their lake one evening and caught a bat with my back cast. That was a bit of surprise too - and don't think I caught any fish that evening!
