Bee'n a Busy Day by suzanne234

Bee'n a Busy Day

I've been busy in the garden today, so I thought I would just take a quick shot of the bees on the lavender. It'll only take a few minutes I told myself and then I can get back to the gardening.
What must be an hour later, well over 170 shots and this, and maybe a couple of others, are the only half decent ones amongst them!
It's been just over a week now since I got my new old camera, I have so much to learn, especially all the techno stuff, but I think the biggest lesson I need is in patience.

hello, Lovely shot and nice detail, I love bee s.made me laugh your write up because I thought the same when I tried to capture a bee, spent ages following them and like you so many shots.. hope you managed to get some jobs done in your garden.

This is better than anything I've ever managed! Two things you might like to investigate which will help you with this type of shot (and include your bird shots as well). The first is: how and where is the camera focussing? The second is: shutter speeds and how you manually select faster or slower speeds. Hope this helps!

@lovingandsharing Eventually I was able to return to the garden! I'm sure the bees know what you are up to and its their payback for disturbing their busy day

Thank you @peadar for pointing me in the right direction, it is very much appreciated. I plan to return to you tube when I have a quite moment and try to digest as much as I can. The first part of your comment, I shall take with a pinch of salt, but bless you for your encouragement!

@lynnz That made me laugh Lynn, I'm far too new to photography to know a good shot from a bad one, I'm tending to just go with what I think looks pretty!
