I was surprised we had quite a nice sunset last night as during the day the sky was dull and grey.
There was a power line running through the sky so I copied the image, cropped the cable out and then joined the two images together. I think I got away with it, apart from the small bit of cable that still remains on the right edge
I'm sure there are better ways to have edited this out, I just have to figure how!
Beautiful sunset especially the dramatic clouds. Very clever way of removing the power line. It's hard to see and I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't mentioned it was there. Well done.
It is a lovely shot Suzanne, and worth doing the work on. My approach would have been to create a duplicate layer, and then erase the line out of one of the layers. I would then slide down the layer behind, so that I got a fill in of the part without the line. I think the results would have been quite similar - I just thought you might be interested. I certainly would not have noticed your edit if you hadn't pointed it out.
@helenhall Thank you Helen, I am always interested in tips & advice, I shall have to take a closer look and spend some time on you tube watching tutorials. I think I was very lucky to get away with my method on this image, I doubt I will be as fortunate again!
great shot lovely colours in the sky and layers, am still looking for the cable, you have managed well taking it out as can not see it, well done is really nice capture. fav
@lovingandsharing Ha, you make me laugh kay :) in the dark bit of the sky, on the right edge there is a little thin black line, which was once a thick black one that went all the way across. Thank you for the kind comment & fav :-)
