My new toy

It's been quite exciting this week, I've finally got round to getting a tripod and I also got myself a lens ball crystal thingy
To be honest I don't really know what I'm doing with it, I grabbed this quick shot on the way to work this morning, I will have to investigate more on what to do with them.
I actually like that it has caught the sun rays shining through. The decking was really hot, much longer and I'm sure it would have started smoking! (I bet that's not mentioned in any of the you tube tutorials)

Beautiful refraction. I too have a glass ball and I find it fun. As a matter of fact I think that my first photo posted last year on 365 was through the ball. Therefore fav!!!

@ludwigsdiana Thank you Diana. I got a Polam TA-12 from Amazon. It was under £40 I'm really impressed with it for the price, its seems sturdy and well made.
