Angel of the North (the real one)

A couple of weeks ago I did my self portrait version. Today, on the way to Edinburgh, we made a slight detour to visit the real thing.
I thought she was beautiful.

I hope to catch up with your projects as soon as I can.
She is quite beautiful! Nicely captured and a fav for me.

Very interesting, but it must put up a lot of wind resistance. The base looks very delicate.

The clouds in the background and that small person makes it very dramatic.

@robz Ahh thank you Rob! That's not me in the picture, I really like how she's (well I think it was a she) is looking up at it, which is a pure fluke because I didn't have my glasses on at the time, so it was a bit of point press and hope!

You got her with quite a dramatic sky too. Really good. We pass by her occasionally but have never stopped to look. Worth it?

@helenhall I was quite moved by her Helen. She wasn't visible from the route we came in on and then all of a sudden she was right at the side of our car. There is a car park a very short distance from her, and not too many visitors at the time we went, I would certainly recommend a visit if it's not too far off your route..
