After dinner on our first date, Paul brought me to a bench and we watched planes land at National Airport. Six months later, in March on a very cold night, he brought me back to the same bench and proposed.
Friday, we sat nearby in the grass for an hour before we could sit on this bench.
How nice to have that special spot.The place that Melody and I had our first date is no longer here. The house which I proposed to her in was sold so I guess I am out of luck on both of these

@michelleo28 The Cherry Blossoms are already raining petals and covering the ground due to wind and rain. But it was beautiful while it lasted.
@pointnshoot28 We celebrated our 20th anniversary last September. We met in DC and then moved every 2-3 years while Paul served as an Air Force officer. He retired last year and we moved back to DC. It is great getting to visit all the places we went when we dated and were newly married.
@michelroberts The smell of cherry blossoms filling the air is the one thing you can't know just seeing a photo. It was a delight both days we shot photos here.
