Ladybug is a rescue dog who came to live with us at the age of 4 1/2. Until then, life as she knew it was behind the bars of a cage.
She showed many signs of being emotionally unstable and the big one was her inability to use her nose or accept treats from us in public.
As you can see, she is now a very stable and happy little dog. Using her nose here on her first day at the beach is a big sign of her phenomenal recovery. So was asking if she could join the picnic lunch fifty feet away.
@amoment We put braids in her hair to keep it from tangling while she romped in the surf. She also chose laying in the sand to laying on a towel. She seemed to love the beach and we had a great afternoon there with her.
Love your perspective and composition for this shot; it makes it such a wonderful portrait of her. And, I'm touched to hear you have made such progress with her. She's lucky to have found you!
@calx She does have those Yorkie eyes! As for the sand, when she was dry, she just shook it off. I brushed her out later that night and rebraided her for the next day.
Well she is trained well... my little Griffon would just rush over without asking and pretend that the other people were her favourite people! The beach shot is lovely!
