Us Pirates of St. Piran work hard to raise lots of money for the Cornwall air ambulance service, so it's always nice when we actually see one of their helicopters in action.
Not so good for the person being rescued, but given the nature of the Cornish landscape, it is vital that this service is there to help people in the more inaccessible places that conventional ambulances cannot reach, such as remote moorland, cliffs and beaches etc.
Ours was buzzing around here the other day, we often see them flying overhead as they're based in Blackpool. We are lucky enough to have three, all yellow so we can easily spot them. A worthy cause to fund these welcome air ambulances.
