I was quite pleased with my sunflowers this year. I managed to keep the evil, voracious, ever munching slugs and snails from hell at bay, which isn't an easy job when you have two cats and can't use slug pellets.
I have quite a good crop of them and was particularly pleased with this new darker species I have discovered. Being a bit of a Goth at heart, I am on a constant quest to find a species of black sunflowers to grow......... However this is the best I have come up with so far..............Even colour shy types like @graemestevens might appreciate their fiery red and black tones. :)
