About a year ago, I had a hankering to build a bass guitar, but not just any old bass guitar, this was going to be a unique steampunk inspired bass. So I started gathering everything I needed and as my plan developed It moved more towards electricity than steam. So I present to you.....
The Tesla Bass.
Considering this is my first attempt at building any sort of guitar, I must admit that I have impressed myself, It actually sounds fabulous and plays beautifully. It may well be the first of many steampunk inspired projects, so watch this space
For those interested in such things, here is a short video clip showing images from the various stages of construction.
@jack4john@judithdeacon@thewatersphotos I need to let it settle for a few weeks and do a final setup also, I'm not happy with the tone pot and will swap that out next week when I get a minute. but once all that is sorted out, I will do a demo video of the finished sound. :)
@vignouse I Printed the T & V on some heavy gauge photo paper, cut clear plastic disks to protect them and then used them to replace the old ceramic hot and cold disks in the taps. :)
