In this era of fake news, blatant political media bias, character assassinations, outrageous sensationalism and blatant bare faced lies. I suspect that the papers have in fact become yesterdays news.
I had always naively thought that the freedom of the press was there to allow journalists to speak out about corruption and injustice in our society...... but it seems I was wrong. It turns out that it is just freedom to slander, manipulate, misdirect, misinform and lie through their back teeth.
