Kathleen, thank you for your very kind words on our loss. I also am very sorry for your loss. Our pets do become part of our families. I had 13 years with my dog, so I can't complain.
@farmboy9155 Thank you. So far, this year has been "A Series of Unfortunate Events". My company "retired" me (laid off), a bunch of bad stuff I can't remember happened, my father died somewhat unexpectedly, more bad stuff happened, Sytse passed away, and more bad stuff is still happening. Currently I am just mentally and physically exhausted. I am taking two classes this semester and one of them has me extremely busy. I will likely wait until classes end (the last week in April) to shut down Sytse's Facebook page. I am considering setting up a Facebook page for Moxie. I have been wondering how things are going with you, but I dont' check 365 very often.
@maggie2 So true, even my Mom referred to Sytse as her Grand-Bunny. Our family, my grandparents through my generation, have an area at a cemetary and Mom suggested a few locations where his ashes could be burried there. I was really touched by the suggestion. I know that as the years go by we will all adjust to life without our precious fur children.
@maggie2 Thanks, but I have Moxie (my dachshund) who is still grieving. Sytse was a special bunny who loved to cuddle on the sofa, sleep under my pillow and would fall into a coma when being held, like a human baby, on his back. I just can't have another bunny. Maybe when things settle down I might consider a Dachshund playmate for Moxie, but not anytime soon.
Oh Kathleen, I just came to your site to see how you were and I was SO SORRY to find this sad note! Sytse was special to all of us around here on 365, and I know you adored him. I've just lost my dearest kitty, Tabby, before coming to Lunenburg, so I understand how sad the loss is. Know I'm thinking about you...
Reviewing back my past posting & saw your name & thought of dropping by ...& then i saw this posting...i'm sorry for missing this sad news...hope you guys are well. RIP, Sytse...just make sure to say hello when you meet my rabbit there :)
Best wishes...do drop by when time permitted.
