On a wonderful photo walk with Mara @mara19500 and her friend who were visiting the U.S. for a few weeks with some time this week in Chicago. We connected at the museum campus and then walked (mostly) from there north to Navy Pier. I took this nightscape toward the end of the walk, when the sky was dark except for the full moon and the ambient light from all the buildings. The little white light points to the left of center are atop the Sears (aka Willis) Tower, the tallest building in the city. Just shows what perspective can do!
Today was a wonderful day, learning my shot of the decaying church in Gary Indiana was the winner of the ETSOOI18 challenge, then ending the day with such a wonderful time with Mara and Angela (with a fairly full work day in between). It's very late and I have another full work day tomorrow, so will catch up with comments later. Thank you all for your wonderful comments on the photos of the rainstorm. Yes, we were all fine -- once the drains were cleared of twigs and the flooding went down. No major damage to anything and no loss of power that I know of. Whew!
@beluga It was an evening after a huge storm, so the air was a little muggy but definitely very clean. We're fortunate that because of the breezes and the lake, and some regulation of industry in the surrounding area, our air quality is generally good here. Thanks for your kind comment too!
@susale Thanks Suse! This is a fantastic city and the past two days have been perfect early fall days. Walking along the river today, I just kept thinking how lucky I am to live here!
Thank you Taffy for the lovely photo walk And your friendly company. Can't wait to post my Chicago shots.
As Amrita @amrita21 rightly days, meeting you was a wonderful experience .

Thanks so much for your kind comments and, Elaine, for the fav.
Tim, I know what you mean re contrasts -- it's been fun this year to have Chicago and Beaver Island as such different contexts to live in and photograph! Jan, you comments about my night shots really makes me feel good. I had not photographed these til starting 365!
Congrats on double T20! What makes that so great is the complete opposites of your subject matters. Shows your amazing versatility. Now when we meet up in NYC I'll show you a real skyline! ;-) haha Chi-town is fav too.
