The Lurie Garden is part of Chicago's Millennium Park, which is now the leading tourist draw in the city -- passing Navy Pier a few years ago. The garden looks different each time I go. Tonight, it is mostly on its way into fall with a lot of flowers somewhat past their prime, grasses that are looking a little dried, but still very interesting as a whole. On our photo walk tonight, Annette ( @anwan) told me the name of this, but I can't remember it now. It was mixed in with white flowers that look sort of like baby's breath but isn't. Update from Annette: flower is Bottle Gentian and the white is Calamint.
A totally different view from the garden: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-09-22
Update again...Wow -- very exciting to see it on PP!!
I love it! Your dreamy treatment is beautiful. The blue flower is the Bottle Gentian and the white is Calamint.
Our cruise was nice, but the boat was MUCH smaller than any in the photos on the sales page. Sitting with the other 6 people made it like sharing a long table with strangers at a trendy restaurant. (Friendly people though). I also got a little seasick (did I mention small boat?!)
@anwan Thanks Annette, for the flower names! I just added the info in commentary. What a great walk! I ran into Daniel rushing to get there on time, as I walked back home. Sorry to hear about the VERY small boat! I'm guessing the photos will be worth it? Thank you for all the visits to my album(s) today and the faves and great comments. Very sweet of you to take that time!!
I love the soft look of this. There have been a couple like this I have seen over the last couple of days. I have faved all of them so here comes another one :) Fav!
@elaine55 Thank you Elaine! Wow!! I'm SO excited and I wasn't going to let myself look at 365 today until I had my presentation ready. I just got your comment via email and am stunned, thrilled, etc. Thanks for letting me know!

@seanoneill Sean, thanks so much for the fav! And I love the word you used to describe it -- mesmerizing! Very cool!
@cocobella Thanks Corrine! I was so excited to see this on PP -- it's such a calm shot, to me.
