Word of the day, windows. Playing around with post processing tonight when 365 was unavailable to post my lone photo of the day (our front windows). I used a photo of Cloud Gate (aka The Bean) from Millennium Park as a base. Processed to make the colors pop a bit more and to up the structure a bit to convey the windows in the reflections. That weird blob in the sky was some sort of odd cloud in shadow, and those specks were birds flying by. Unfortunately, I do think the dreaded D600 oil spots are coming back, but just not in this particular image.
Another windows for today is in my extras album: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-10-01
The first time I saw the "Bean" was last year in a photo competition at a fair that I competed in. One of the entrants was by a woman that had traveled to Chicago. Her shot was of the whole orb from a distance, but I like your perspective much better! This makes me think of a city trapped in a glass ball.
Love the color and clarity of the scene in the reflection! I think a person could spend chunks of a day at The Bean taking various shots. For an abstract, when I visited once, I went under The Bean and took a shot straight up.
@pflaume I love the full frame totally. And I really like the D600. BUT, that said, it's frustrating to see spots coming back. I've talked to a few folks who have said eventually with the cleanings, they go away, and you have a great camera body, but in the meantime, I'm disappointed that I got one of the lemons. I'm taking it back in for another cleaning (the cost is covered by warranty) when I have time. Thanks for your kind comment on the shot, btw!
@mara19500 I found out the same thing after our walk. I must have seen your photos just in random ways, so quickly took care of it. I do love your work, so am very glad it's 'fixed'! See you more often now online!
