First Snow by taffy

First Snow

We had an early snowfall and it actually stayed on the ground. It was dark when I walked home from work and I was able to capture the falling snow against one of the streetlights. If you view large, it shows off the shimmer of the tree as well. It looked a lot prettier in the photos than it felt on the walk home!
My get pushed challenge this week from Maddie B is to take mono-chrome shots that are not b&w. Today's shots are my first attempts. Another one is in extras - http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-11-11
Wonderful capture! Love the light and how we can see the falling snowflakes in it. Great composition with the reaching tree branches.

Snow OMG. In Nov. Brrr. Fab capture.

And there's me thinking the colour is from the street light. I love how you've captured the snow falling from the top left of the frame across and down to the tree.
