On the roof during the blue hour, with the moon surrounded by a halo/glow. The Sears Tower (which is no longer the tallest building in the U.S. with the completion of the 1776 foot tall new world trade building in NYC) and the wedding cake building were brilliant against the blue. Hand-held shot, just straightened and cropped a bit, but otherwise SOOC (update -- a few viewers have noted that viewing large makes a difference for this particular shot. I agree, if you have the time). I liked the large expanse of sky. A few minutes earlier, this is what it looked like facing west: http://365project.org/taffy/special-photos/2013-11-14
Thank you for your kind response to Falls Last Stand which appeared on PP today. I appreciate your comments and favs that got it there.

Very pretty! Was going to attempt a moon shot tonight but my camera really can't do them justice- so I went with a couple projects I've been helping out with. However, thanks to you I was able to enjoy the moon anyway. Lovely shot.
@pdulis Peter, thanks so much for the fav. It was fun to me to be able to contrast our two sunsets -- such different feelings in each case for essentially the same time of day. I just loved your image!
@pennyp Thanks so much for mentioning the importance of viewing large. I always hesitate putting that in, but I know for this photo it really does make a difference. I appreciate your view and comment!
what is the building that's lit up? 's that watertower next to the sears tower? very pretty image. the light is nicely balanced and the blue sky is so peaceful amidst the city lights.
@mchartwig The building you are talking about is 300 Wacker Building (I think that's the number -- it's address). Not an interesting name, but it has an interesting backstory. I have a closeup of it here: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-02-13 with a brief description. It really is a stunning structure.

Thanks Kass, Gena, Hope, Katie, Kim and Al. I appreciate your view and comment. With cold and rainy weather coming in, I figure yesterday and tonite are my last few days to be able to be up on the roof deck without being wet and freezing!
