Today ended up as a work day, first our quarterly consultant meeting, and then a small group of us continued meeting at another site -- a bakery/coffee shop not far from where I live. The owners were nice enough to let me photograph some cupcakes. These are my only shots from today, as it turns out. Cropped to try to make it more interesting than the original shot actually is. Not too successful in the end, but at least it's from today.
Thank you for sending my photo, Rush Hour from Above, to PP for a brief stint today. That was exciting. As @danielwsc said, it is nice to have friends in high places!

I see you chose chocolate . . . but that doesn't look like cream cheese frosting. :) Still haven't gone to that cupcake shop with you. I'm finally back in internet land again and have stories to tell and photos to show!
Well...it looks good. I heard that chocolate is a salad: .cocoa comes from beans, beans are a vegetable, vegetables are in salad....therefore chocolate is a salad!! Heard that (may have missed a step in there) from our grand daughter who loves chocolate ALMOST as much as I do!
@nanalisarocks I only had hot chocolate but I'd snacked on cookies during the day long meeting. Even I was sugared out. Xcept of course hot chic didn't count!
@olivetreeann No resolve at all, actually! I'd eaten three large cookies at our quarterly seminar just before we ended, was totally stuffed, and still ordered hot chocolate! And I'm supposed to be -- along with Jim -- on a "paleo" diet of no sugar or wheat. I'm failing miserably, though.
@amandal Thanks! This shop is about 3 blocks from our house, so very tempting every day. The ONLY reason I didn't eat it is that I had consumed 4 of the cookies (large ones) that were part of the lunch we had catered. Really disgusted with myself so for once, turned it down. Not easy! And of course, ordering hot chocolate instead of tea probably undid all the good of saying no to the cupcake!
@taffy Ah yes, got it. Good for you for standing strong in the end, though. It's hard to have baked goods in the house as I have a hard time not eating them.
