Rosie belongs to our friends down the beach. I'm walking Rosie this week to help out while one of her parents is out of town. She loves loves loves her ball, as all good Goldens do. So opposite of our Bernese mountain dog, Nutmeg, who thought her job was finding the ball, but couldn't see any reason to actually pick it up and bring it back to us. I liked Rosie's little smile behind the ball in this -- clearly she thought she was teasing me with it, and coming out ahead.
What a gorgeous doggy! I grew up with cats so I used to have a blast when I got to visit my cousin and play fetch with his German Shepherd. However, one of my current cats used to play fetch with his toy mice, but now that I have a 2nd cat I guess he's entertained enough to not want to play fetch with us anymore.
I love this, I bet she keeps everyone fit! Blue,( my daughter's cocker spaniel) even sleeps with his ball beside him and if Bert ( their very old Jack Russell)comes anywhere near the 'it's mine' growls start
@jborrases They are amazing animals -- this particular dog is gentle and so sweet. She came with his master to our house for dinner tonight and was so excited when she saw me that I felt guilty not taking her for a walk!
@elaine55 I've already sent them the original digital so they would have it and will make a copy in my next order. They know I love photographing her, and their garden is one of the nicest on the island so I suspect I'll need to print several by the time summer ends. Remember the pond frogs from last summer? That was in their garden pond as well.
What a great capture! Golden retrievers are wonderful dogs.....so sweet and gently, and just beautiful to look at, and their fur is so nice and soft! :-)
