The lobby in the Oriental Theater was renovated a few years ago -- it's quite spectacular in its opulence, acoustics, etc. Lighting was tricky so bracketed to get all the details I could pull out.

Stop by if you can and even better, think about posting your toy and its pet if you get a chance.
You did great in capturing a difficult but beautiful space! Frankly, I get dizzy looking at all that opulent detailing in those old buildings....makes me want to escape to a minimalist coffeehouse/bar afterwards! That being said, it really feels good to be inside one of those warm, enveloping spaces with all the lights, glitter and gold!
So much opulence and enormous amount of detail! So different from today's style! Wonderful image Taffy you have done so well in what was probably very difficult lighting! Fav!
Stunning shot - and I can just guess how difficult that was to get this shot the way you have - what terrific detail you've shown. Sure so different from building built today. Love this glimpse of the past.
@elaine55@ericdibosco Thanks for your kind words. The hand-held bracketing that I'd love to take credit for, actually mostly works with my wide angle. It's truly an amazing lens that I've come to love using. I find I can sometimes do this with a 50mm prime, but with my other zoom lenses, I can't be steady enough even if supported against something. But thanks!!
