Disembodied Lily (or something) by taffy

Disembodied Lily (or something)

Jim brought home flowers he thought were lilies. When they bloomed, they were beautiful and had no center stamens. Instead, they had a bunch more petals. This one was quite full and just begging to have its photo taken. The rest were so disappointed they immediately turned brown and dried out. Mmmm...I thought they overreacted to not being singled out.
Processed first in LR5 and then in SnapArt.
WOW!

What a wonderful bloom, if you can keep them from going brown! I love lilies but the stamens are so poisonous to cats that I have to cut them out as soon as they become visible, so this variety would be perfect. Nice processing Taffy.

Your commentary is a delight! I look at this and see a Magician pulling and pulling from the center and it keeps coming out and issuing more!

Nice capture! I would imagine that for someone who's highly allergic to the pollen that this kind of lily would be most welcome! Interesting plant!

Very pretty. I wondered how you accomplished the painting texture until I noted Snap Art. Unusual and effective textures for a b&w, which work really nicely.

Can't understand a flower without a stamen - its like a tree without branches! Probably hidden way down there in those thick and white depths!

What a beautiful flower and great shot, Taffy. I do not like the center of lilies as they always make a mess. Too bad the other flowers that Jim gave you did not last well as it would have made a wonderful bouquet. FAV
