You can see our group in tiny people off to the back left as they listened to our guide share information of the cathedral's history. Taken handheld, 3 bracketed shots combined in Photomatix, converted in Silver Efex. This is looking across the main floor of the sanctuary. Thank you for your lovely comments and favs on the scene looking down the aisle and of the collage of the windows yesterday. I'll probably post just a few more over the week. It was quite amazing to be given so much time to wander around and photograph at our leisure. AND, impressive that when I realized about 10 minutes into walking home that I'd left my little gear pouch, including 2 extra batteries and some other costly miscellany, and ran/walked back, it was still sitting on one of the pews! I would have thought in a large city, even in a church, it would have disappeared pretty quickly. So good place all around.

I like this one even better than the one from yesterday. The b&w really accentuates the textures and lines, which are really terrific. Also, not the usual point of view (right down the nave) for seeing these gorgeous structures. Such a nice job. :)
I like this shot of the church too, especially the crossways view which casts the architecture into a completely different conformation. But I still prefer the colours in the earlier shot. What a near squeak you had with your gear pouch, I hate that uh-oh sinking feeling.
Very striking in b and w, love the fish eye effect. I left my camera on a bench in an Italian hilltop village a few years back, was utterly amazed to find it still there an hour after.
I love the way this turned out, in B&W Taffy. You are amazing at what you do. The detail is just incredible. FAV Glad you were able to get your things still sitting where you left them.
You're going to such interesting meetups! And so nice your little bag was still there. I like how you shot this from the side, different from the typical looking forward, as it gives a different perspective, especially when bubbled out.
