Decided to do a nature walk this evening rather than only focus on processing Poland photos. Put on my macro and thought about all of @888rachel 's clear-as-tack insects. Guess what happened with my insect shots? So, instead, I present this as the result of the nature walk...
Nice textures Taffy and interesting where you put your focus point. We have macro in Camera club this month and I keep thinking I should get out with my macro lens.
Funny to watch peoples projects and see how they are fabulous at some shots and struggle in other areas. I have taken out my macro adapter lens and find the focus area so small and really want my tripod with it. Do you use a tripod with your macro. I love this because in one way it is like your architecture shots. Very structured and very solid.
Well, things do naturally rust after a while! LOL somedays you are meant to shoot bugs; others it's all about rust. Sounds like a good motto, don't you think? Nice shot!
Did you use a tripod? Lighting and steadiness are key! Sting nothing wring with the hook and chain! It does have cobwebs or spide web for tha nature aspect
@janiskay I often use a tripod, but on a fairly quick photo walk, I didn't take it along. It makes a huge difference with the macro lens. Any little movement affects the shot. As does wind. I think that's why I was drawn to this very stable thing -- I was tired of the blur!
@jgpittenger@taffy@888rachel Rachel, can you start a class? I believe you have 3 ready to register! Taffy, thus inspires me ti pull out my macro clip sometime soon, but I am not as steady as I used to be.
@darylo@jgpittenger@888rachel I'd take it, not teach it! Jane just took a macro class so maybe just getting started with some pointers would be great. Love the idea. There are macros, and then there are amazing macros that Jane and Rachel have done.
@darylo@taffy@jgpittenger I love you guys! Such a wonderful thing to say. Wouldn't it be great if we were all in the same place so we could go on a photo shoot together. Love macros!
