Thanks for your lovely comments and favs, putting the hook and chain (with nature via the spider web bits) onto PP.
I tried again to do water crowns with the lake calm again tonight and some reasonably nice reflected light. Turns out without a friend there to help, I learned there is a fair degree of luck involved in tossing a rock high enough to then track it to its splash while keeping everything in focus and clicking the shutter release in time to capture the splash. I thought this one's shape had the look of a wizard doing some magical thing as the sun set.
Well, that takes some doing: getting this without any help, with such perfect focus and reflection (the reflection even standing out against the darker part of the water)...perhaps it was that very same genie who has helped you!
Would have loved to be a fly on the wall (or maybe mosquito in the air!!) whilst you were juggling all the different aspects of this shot. Has worked brilliantly, fav.
OMG, Taffy, it IS the Micky-Mouse-as-a-Wizard in Fantasia that you conjured here! Let others make the cliche crowns! You brought up something even better! Love it!
Those water shots ARE difficult. The time of day you chose to do this was perfect though...the sky reflections are gorgeous. Great clarity. Beautifully done.
@michaelelliott Thanks Michael! No immediate plans for the city, but on my radar for a theater/photography weekend once things with the move settle in. I'll keep you posted.
