I looked at it large and still cannot be 100% sure what it is but the white spike and reflection certainly draw the eye in, to a part of the image that would already be a focal point because of the framing from the trees.

@bob65 I wondered if anyone would be able to figure out that it was a fountain, reflecting in a mirror like way in the pond. I wish I'd brought a zoom lens with me and may if/when I go back there this fall. It was a beautiful pond despite the sickly green color of the water. Hoping it just means algae!
