First, many many thanks! As we drove up I learned that my photo of the Central Park L station was in TT and my lone leaf from yesterday was on PP. What a boost!
And now we have a long weekend on the island. Jim stopped on our way back from dinner in town so I could take some photos of hay bales. I was limited in time but hope the weather holds -- those in the distance in front of the corn look like they'd be fun to photograph!
@jgpittenger The branch was even worse...did a bunch of cloning to get rid of it, but then never noticed the halo! Oh well...it's definitely my fault in the processing. Used HDR as the lighting was so different from sky to hay bales and didn't check for halo. UGH!
Checking in, before bed... The light is lovely. So many variations in it. Removing branches, etc., can be very difficult. Did you do this in PS or LR? (I have a suggestion for PS). I just adore the daisies and the curved lines of the corn. Enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful country scenery and just love the shadows and light!!! Congratulations on your photo on the TT Page!! It was most deserved and should have been there!! FAV!
Lovely layers in this Taffy! I have been looking for hay bales here as the harvest is well under way but they don't seem to have them here any more - all the fields are empty! Enjoy your weekend!
Initially I was struck by the layers created by the light, only noticing the hay bales in the distance when I looked at the enlarged image, then I could appreciate the diagonal link between the two.
Congratulations on the well deserved TT Taffy. I love this picture as it is it could so easily be here. The branch doesn't bother me although I can see why you wanted to remove it. Fav
At least you got hay bales not hay wrapped in white plastic that look like giant Mashmallows. This is a gorgeous scenes love the late afternoon lighting.
The light is rather special in this, too nice to not take this shot which I'm sure is redeemable when you have a bit more time. I told you that I would look forward to seeing your station shot on TT - didn't expect to be joining you there though! Mine is the strongest image on TT... it must be, at number 20 it's holding all the others up :-))
beautiful shot ... great lighting
I see this kind of stuff every day but don't stop and take pictures because it seems boring, but you just proved it can be beautiful. fav
Great light, layers and colours.
I like the tension between the two groups of bales; to my weird imagination it looks as if they are going to charge at one another any moment!
Lovely scene and capture.
Here is a link to a "PHLearn" PS tutorial on an overview of the different tools available to remove unwanted items (such as powerlines): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G1PiTfbtUs
Quite spectacular. Reminds me of a playground game in which two teams are facing off. Not sure which haybale group will win, though as both seem so determined.
I could have sworn I had commented on this, but maybe I just managed to view it while away over the weekend! Love this image....I would have definitely stopped to photograph it....love the repeating patterns, the colors, the way the hay bale stacks are reappearing in the distance....wonderful composition and light....FAV!!

This link is better, though, for my favorite tool, the "spot healing brush:" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmZ52OoOpu0
I hope they help... check out the 2nd one first, fyi. The first one is an overview and doesn't really focus on the spot healing brush. Enjoy!
