I would not have had this photo if: (a) my brother hadn't suggested a book to read, (b) I decided I would download from the library instead of buy it, (c) my library card had expired, (d) I decided to walk to the branch to renew to get some fitbit steps in, (e), I decided to take my camera even though "there's nothing to photograph between here and there," and (f) I happened to look back over my shoulder as I walked home. I was so pleased that I happened to be outside when this was happening!
If interested, here's another one from the same time period, but more a closeup of one of the bushes in this light - on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/taffyraphael/24512160705/in/dateposted-public/
Wonderful colors and textures in those clouds, with the sunset light glowing on them. As a fellow fitbit wearer, I am cheering on the "extra steps" prompt. :)
Wonderful shot - it seems 'easy' to have sunset silhouettes but perfect ones such as these are few and far between! I love your 'butterfly effect' story as well :) :)
Both beatiful pictures. There is something about the one on you're flickr that I personal prefer. You really caputured the moment either way. Just goes to show always carry you're camera 😄
Beautiful Taffy! Well done on the extra steps! The moral of the story is "look behind you" ! Always breathtaking to see a sunset like this and to have your camera with you - bonus! Fav!
Really a great capture. See, things happen for a reason - your library card prime among them! Thanks for lugging the camera along and treating us to this!
@rosiekerr And when I got home from taking this, checked my steps before going to sleep, turns out I left my fitbit on my pajamas! So ZERO steps for the day, and today, my fitbit has stopped communicating with my phone. But, thanks for the comment and visit and fitbit friendship!
@loweygrace Yes, Fitbit entered my life in December, thanks to present from my husband. I now feel no day is complete without an analysis of steps and sleep patterns. And today IT DOESN'T WORK! AGH!!!!
Thank you so much for visiting and commenting. I'm really sorry to do this but I decided I liked the pano version better so have substituted...but I didn't want to lose your comments so I kept them. If you want to delete, I understand of course. But I hope not! The lighting was a bit different as I took this one a few minutes after the other; and the sun is a bit lower.
