My walking buddy and I stopped at her condo after our long walk on Monday. She has two cats who are not big on posing for photos. This one, hiding under the table in the darkest spot he could find, looked like he was daring me to point the camera towards him.
Taken with the closeup theme in mind, and the hope that the image would lend itself well to b&w. But I couldn't let go of his amazing eyes - like a cat's eye marble.
Fabulous SC shot, Taffy, it's got it all. POV, focus and dof are all wonderful, but best of all is the angle of the shot and the endearing sense of charm it lends the photo. Fav.
Wowsier !!!! How did you deal with the light? I see a high ISO and such a slow shutter speed for 250mm ? Black and White would have been a sin with those eyes.
I sometimes tried selective colors on the eyes and it never worked out for me. But here it does work - and you are right, those speckled eyes are too cool!
